Canucks 4, Flames 1
: Maxim Lapierre snapped a tie at 12:37 of the third period and Roberto Luongo made 40 saves in a surprise start as Vancouver began a five-game road trip with its fourth straight victory.

Alex Burrows, Mason Raymond and Daniel Sedin also scored for the Northwest Division-leading Canucks, who defeated Calgary for a fourth time to conclude their five-game season series. Luongo turned aside 18 shots over the final 20 minutes in his first start since March 18 as Vancouver moved six points ahead of Minnesota in the division.

Curtis Glencross netted the lone goal for the Flames, who lost for the sixth time in seven games. Miikka Kiprusoff stopped 25 shots.

Lapierre swatted a puck in the crease past Kiprusoff after Andrew Ebbett sent it in front from behind the net to halt a 13-game drought and give Vancouver a 2-1 lead. Raymond doubled the advantage by knocking a rebound out of mid-air 2:57 later, and Sedin capped the three-goal outburst with a wrist shot from the right hash marks during a power play with 2:33 remaining.

Glencross opened the scoring late in the first period with his 13th tally on home ice as he collected his own rebound and flipped the puck in through traffic. Burrows knotted the contest shortly after on a goal that initially was waved off because it appeared he directed the puck in with his knee, but video review showed his stick touching the puck before it entered the net.
