Predators 5, Flames 3: Mike Fisher scored twice to extend his point streak to five games as Nashville returned home to snap a four-game losing streak.

Martin Erat snapped a 21-game goalless drought and assisted on both of Fisher’s tallies. Nick Spaling and Brandon Yip also scored and Pekka Rinne turned aside 19 shots for the Predators, who have recorded points in eight of their last nine home games (6-1-2).

Defenseman Mark Giordano scored and set up a goal while captain Jarome Iginla and Blake Comeau also tallied for Calgary, which defeated Nashville 6-3 at home last week. Miikka Kiprusoff made 18 saves in his first start since the birth of his second child.

Fisher tied the game at 2-2 late in the first period, firing a one-timer past Kiprusoff after Erat collected the puck behind the net and sent a backhand pass in front. With 6:36 remaining in the second, Fisher gave the Predators the lead as defenseman Roman Josi’s cross-ice pass found him alone at the side of the net for the easy tap-in.

Spaling doubled the advantage exactly one minute later, tipping rookie defenseman Victor Bartley’s centering feed past a screened Kiprusoff. Yip increased the lead with a shot off a rush late in the third period before Iginla scored on a power play with one minute remaining in the game.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Fisher has collected six points (five goals, one assist) during his five-game streak. … Bartley, who has played eight NHL games, earned his first career point on Spaling’s goal. … Flames C Mikael Backlund appeared to score in the third period to cut the deficit to one, but LW Alex Tanguay was whistled for goaltender interference to negate the tally. ... Calgary has scored a power-play goal in each of its last four games and five of its last six.
