Blackhawks 4, Blue Jackets 3 (OT): Defenseman Brent Seabrook scored at 3:23 of overtime as host Chicago extended its record season-opening streak to 21 straight games without a regulation loss.

Captain Jonathan Toews got to a loose puck and carried it down the left side before dishing it to Seabrook, who fired it into a vacant net from the slot for his third goal of the season.

Viktor Stalberg recorded a goal and an assist, Patrick Sharp and Bryan Bickell also tallied and Ray Emery made 19 saves for the Blackhawks (18-0-3), who have won eight games in a row overall and 10 consecutive meetings with the Blue Jackets. Dating back to the 2011-12 regular season, Chicago has registered a point in 27 straight contests - the third-longest streak in NHL history.

Vinny Prospal, Artem Anisimov and Ryan Johansen scored while Steve Mason stopped 31 shots for the Blue Jackets, whose winless streak reached four games (0-2-2).

Prospal gave Columbus the lead 31 seconds into the contest with his 250th career goal and Anisimov, who returned after missing three games with a head injury, put the Blue Jackets ahead 2-1 with 7:18 remaining in the second period. Sharp and Bickell scored 59 seconds apart late in the session, but Johansen forged a tie at 12:23 of the third with a backhander that followed a nifty deke.
