Lightning 6, Panthers 5 (OT): Benoit Pouliot scored his second goal of the contest at 1:19 of overtime as visiting Tampa Bay overcame a two-goal deficit in the third period to snap a six-game winless streak.

Teddy Purcell, who also had two assists, scored from the slot after a pass from behind the net by Steven Stamkos with 10.4 seconds left in regulation to forge a 5-5 tie. Pouliot was in front of the net to knock home the winner after defenseman Marc-Andre Bergeron’s wide shot caromed off the end boards.

Rookie Jonathan Huberdeau and Tomas Kopecky scored 1:31 apart early in the third period to give Florida a 5-3 lead. Stamkos brought the Lightning within a goal with 12:32 left in the third, hammering a slap shot past Jose Theodore (30 saves) from the left circle on the power play.

Stamkos scored twice to end a five-game stretch without a goal and added an assist. Alex Killorn added his first NHL goal for Tampa Bay. Anders Lindback made 25 saves for the Lightning, who were 0-5-1 during their slide.

Jack Skille and Shawn Matthias added a goal and an assist apiece for the Panthers in the first two periods. Jerred Smithson also scored his first goal for Florida with 4.2 seconds left in the second session to tie the game at 3-3.
