Mason Raymond scored the lone goal of the shootout in the second round as the Vancouver Canucks halted the Tampa Bay Lightning's four-game home winning streak with a 5-4 victory on Tuesday.

Defenseman Alex Edler, Jannik Hansen, Manny Malhotra and Ryan Kesler tallied in regulation while Cory Schneider made 27 saves for Vancouver, which improved to 2-1-0 on its four-game road trip.

Neither club converted its first chance in the shootout and Dominic Moore lost control of the puck on Tampa Bay's second opportunity. Raymond rushed toward the net and spun around in the crease before putting a backhander past Dwayne Roloson, giving Vancouver the edge.

Schneider sealed the win by denying Steven Stamkos on the Lightning's final shot.

Edler and Hansen gave the Canucks a 2-0 lead with first-period goals and Malhotra answered Stamkos' league-leading 29th tally midway through the second to restore the two-goal advantage.

Captain Vincent Lecavalier got the Lightning within 3-2 when he buried the rebound of Stamkos' breakaway chance with 32 seconds remaining in the middle session. But Kesler jammed the puck past Roloson with two seconds to play, putting Vancouver back ahead by two.

Steve Downie closed the gap at 6:14 of the third and Tampa Bay forged a 4-4 tie with one minute remaining as Martin St. Louis' pass from the right faceoff circle caromed off Ryan Malone's right skate and past Schneider.

Roloson made 24 saves but allowed more than three goals for the ninth straight time for the Lightning, who have lost four consecutive games.
