Viktor Stalberg tallied twice and Corey Crawford turned aside 37 shots as the Chicago Blackhawks cruised to a 4-1 home triumph over the Columbus Blue Jackets on Monday.

Patrick Sharp netted his 19th tally of the season and 21st career versus Columbus to ignite a three-goal second period for Chicago. The Blackhawks improved to 11-2-1 in their last 14 games and posted their season-best fifth win in a row at the United Center.

After Sharp deflected Marian Hossa's offering past Steve Mason to put Chicago on the scoreboard at 4:48 of the second, Stalberg doubled the advantage just under 3 1/2 minutes later. After his initial shot was blocked by defenseman Fedor Tyutin, Stalberg collected the loose puck and wristed another attempt which sailed past the netminder.

Stalberg then gave Chicago a 3-0 lead with 4:12 remaining in the session after his wrist shot from the left faceoff circle beat Mason for his ninth goal of the season. The 25-year-old Swede now has four goals and three assists in his last four contests.

After former Blackhawks defenseman James Wisniewski ended Crawford's bid for his first shutout of the season by scoring 3:09 into the third period, Hossa capped the scoring with a power-play marker.
