Colin Wilson's goal early in the third period lifted the host Nashville Predators to a 2-1 victory over Calgary on Tuesday, halting the Flames' three-game winning streak.

With the game knotted 1-1 after 40 minutes, the Predators took the lead on a man advantage 3:31 into the third period. Craig Smith's snapshot from the slot was stopped by Calgary netminder Miikka Kiprusoff, but Wilson swooped in to bang home the rebound for his eighth goal of the year.

Calgary had a handful of chances to draw even in the final two minutes, but Nashville's Pekka Rinne made three saves from point-blank range as the Predators won their third straight one-goal game.

Nashville's Matt Halischuk opened the scoring 11:43 into the game, backhanding a loose puck past Kiprusoff after a Calgary defender blocked Brian McGrattan's initial shot.

Calgary drew even at 6:12 of the second period on a great individual effort from Curtis Glencross. The veteran forward stickhandled through Nashville's defense and into the low slot before lifting a backhand over Rinne's glove.
