Anders Lindback made 22 saves for his first career shutout and defensemen Shea Weber and Ryan Suter scored goals as the host Nashville Predators posted a 3-0 triumph over the Florida Panthers on Saturday.

Lindback is 3-0-1 since taking over for Pekka Rinne, who suffered a knee injury on Dec. 1 and is expected to be out another two weeks.

Suter assisted on Weber’s goal as the Predators (14-8-6) won for the fifth time in their last six games.

The Predators improved to 4-0-2 against the Southeast Division this season and 10-0-2 in their last 12 games against the division.

Suter scored his first goal of the season just 74 seconds into the game when he beat Tomas Vokoun with a wrist shot from the edge of the left faceoff circle. Weber’s tally came on a blast from the top of the right faceoff circle at 16:49 of the first period.

Vokoun made 24 saves for the Panthers (13-15-0), who saw their three-game winning streak come to an end.

Joel Ward added an empty-net power-play goal with 54 seconds left.
