Steven Stamkos had his fifth goal of the season and added a pair of assists, while the Tampa Bay Lighting struck four times on the power play to book a 5-4 win over the Dallas Stars on Monday.

Dallas scored first when Toby Peterson notched a short-handed goal with just less than five minutes left in the first period. But Tampa Bay replied with power play goals from Steve Downie and Stamkos before the intermission.

Adam Burish tied it up at 6:04 of the second before the Lightning got two more with Sean Bergenheim and Dominic Moore scoring their first goals of the season to give Tampa Bay a 4-2 edge heading into the third.

Moore picked up his second power play goal of the night at 6:11 but Dallas didn't go away. Brenden Morrow scored his fifth of the year just 13 seconds later and James Neal buried another with 59.5 seconds left and Kari Lehtonen on the bench for the extra attacker.

Mike Smith made 15 saves for Tampa Bay, while Lehtonen stopped 39 shots for Dallas.
