Goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury made 29 saves against his former club Saturday as the visiting Vegas Golden Knights topped the Pittsburgh Penguins 3-0.

Paul Stastny scored a power play goal, William Karlsson had a short-handed empty-netter and Mark Stone added a four-on-four empty-netter for Vegas, which has won four of its past five games.

Fleury earned his first shutout of the season, 57th of his career and first against Pittsburgh. He is 3-1-0 against the Penguins.

His most critical save came with Pittsburgh on a power play in the third period, when he lunged to his left to get his arm on an uncontested shot from the left circle by Juuso Riikola to preserve a 1-0 lead.

Fleury was the longtime franchise goalie for Pittsburgh but was taken by Vegas in the 2017 expansion draft, with the Penguins choosing to go with the younger Matt Murray as their No. 1 goalie.

Murray played Friday night, however, so backup Tristan Jarry got the start Saturday.

Jarry made 21 saves for the Penguins, who came into the game with the NHL's longest-active winning streak, five games, and had scored 23 goals in those five games.

The Penguins, already without four key forwards who are injured, also played without forward Jared McCann, who played Friday, and made Brian Dumoulin, a member of the top defensive pairing, a last-minute lineup scratch. There was no word on the status of McCann or Dumoulin during the game.

With Pittsburgh's Zach Aston-Reese in the penalty box for interfering with Fleury, the Golden Knights had the puck on the left side of the offensive zone. Rookie Cody Glass got the puck at the left dot and found Stastny, unguarded, at the far dot on a backdoor pass.

Jarry was caught at the other side of the crease, leaving a gaping area of the net for Stastny to easily hit for a 1-0 Vegas lead at 3:48 of the second.

Stastny has four goals in the past five games.

Karlsson's goal came with 1:15 left in regulation, Stone's with 51.2 seconds left.
