Chicago native Vinnie Hinostroza, an ex-Blackhawk, scored two goals, and Antti Raanta made 33 saves as the visiting Arizona Coyotes spoiled the return of Chicago goalie Corey Crawford with a 4-1 win over the Blackhawks on Thursday night.

Clayton Keller had a goal and an assist and Lawson Crouse also scored for Arizona. The Coyotes had been outscored 11-3 in regulation and overtime and were shut out three times in their first five games coming into the contest. Their only previous victory a 3-2 shootout win over the Anaheim Ducks on Oct. 10.

Crawford, a two-time All-Star and a key performer on Chicago's 2013 and 2015 Stanley Cup championship teams, was making his first start since Dec. 23 after dealing with concussion-related symptoms that affected him until last month and had him contemplating retirement. He finished with 27 saves.

Erik Gustafsson scored for Chicago, which was starting a stretch of seven games in 11 days and played its first game this season that ended in regulation. All five of the Blackhawks' previous games went beyond regulation, an NHL record for the start of a campaign.

Crouse gave Arizona a 1-0 lead at the 11:43 mark of the first period. He one-timed a crossing pass from Keller from the bottom of the right circle inside the right post for the Coyotes' first even-strength goal of the season.

Gustafsson tied it early in the second period with a goal from almost the same spot as Crouse's. He fired a shot off a crossing pass from Jonathan Toews at the end of a two-on-one into the top right corner of the goal.

Hinostroza put Arizona back in front, 2-1, two minutes later. He fired a wrist shot from the center of the right circle that glanced in off the left elbow of Crawford and into the top of the net.

Keller made it 3-1 with 5:38 remaining in the game. He intercepted a crossing pass by Chris Kunitz for Duncan Keith near the Chicago blue line and then went in alone and fired a shot through Crawford's pads.

Chicago coach Joel Quenneville pulled Crawford with 5:11 left, and Hinostroza then sealed the win with an empty-netter with 2:20 to go.
