Matt Duchene scored 42 seconds into overtime to lift the host Dallas Stars to a 4-3 victory over the Arizona Coyotes on Tuesday.
After Joe Pavelski hit the post in the waning moments of regulation, Duchene converted Tyler Seguin's centering feed for his sixth goal of the season and fourth in as many games.
Seguin joined Duchene with a goal and assist for Dallas. Roope Hintz and defenseman Esa Lindell also tallied and Jake Oettinger made 23 saves for the Stars, who registered their season-high fourth straight victory to open their five-game homestand.
Dallas also extended its home point streak against Arizona to 18 games (17-0-1).
Arizona's Lawson Crouse scored his sixth goal in his last seven games. Clayton Keller and Jason Zucker also tallied and Karel Vejmelka turned aside 30 shots for the Coyotes.
Arizona defenseman Juuso Valimaki exited the contest three minutes into the third period after he took a slap shot to the face from Dallas' Jani Hakanpaa. A bloodied Valimaki immediately fell to the ice, regained his footing and quickly retreated to the locker room. He did not return to the contest.
Just over halfway through the third period, Matias Maccelli skated into the left circle before wiring a saucer pass through the slot to Zucker, who deposited the puck inside the right post to forge a 2-2 tie.
Crouse used his long reach to corral a loose puck and beat Oettinger for his sixth goal of the season to give Arizona a 3-2 lead with 5:34 remaining in regulation.
Seguin got behind the defense and backhanded the puck past Vejmelka to level the contest with 3:20 remaining.
Barrett Hayton forced a turnover and neatly fed Keller, who wristed a shot from deep in the left circle that beat Oettinger to open the scoring at 4:33 of the first period. Keller's team-leading seventh goal of the season extended his point streak to four games.
Lindell's wrist shot from the slot handcuffed Vejmelka for his first goal of the season with 2:08 remaining in the first period.
The Stars seized a 2-1 lead at 9:32 of the second period after recording a power-play goal in their third straight game. Defenseman Miro Heiskanen set up Hintz, who one-timed a shot from the right circle that beat Vejmelka inside the near post for his sixth goal of the season.
