Coyotes 5, Red Wings 4 (OT): Mark Arcobello scored his second goal of the night at 3:08 of overtime as visiting Arizona snapped its eight-game losing streak.

Michigan native David Moss also recorded a pair of goals and defenseman John Moore added one and an assist as the Coyotes won for only the second time in 20 games with their highest offensive output since a 4-1 victory at Columbus on Feb. 3. Defenseman Oliver Ekman-Larsson collected two assists, Arcobello notched one and Mike Smith (33 saves) snapped a six-start losing streak for Arizona, which scored only seven goals during its skid.

Justin Abdelkader and defenseman Jakub Kindl each registered a goal and an assist for Detroit, which extended its lead over Ottawa for third place in the Atlantic Division to five points. Luke Glendening and Gustav Nyquist also scored in the Red Wings' fifth loss in seven games (2-4-1).

Moss gave the Coyotes a 3-2 lead by deflecting defenseman Klas Dahlbeck's blast with 4:52 left in the second, but Kindl knotted it with a slap shot at 1:57 of the third. Moss notched his second goal just over seven minutes later, when Ekman-Larsson's shot deflected off his leg and past Jimmy Howard (17 saves) during a power play, but Nyquist answered by poking a rebound out of mid-air and past Smith while on the man advantage with 6:21 remaining.

Moore was credited with the lone goal of the opening period on a shot that appeared to go in off Detroit captain Henrik Zetterberg's stick, but Glendening's redirection exactly three minutes into the second drew Detroit even. Arcobello ripped a shot from the right faceoff dot past Smith at 10:56 for a power-play goal, but Abdelkader hauled in a stretch pass from Kindl and converted on a breakaway 36 seconds later to make it 2-2.
