Flames 4, Flyers 1: Rookie Johnny Gaudreau registered a power-play goal and two assists to lift Calgary to its first home win over Philadelphia in 14 years.

Sean Monahan converted a man-advantage chance for his 50th career goal while defensemen Dennis Wideman and TJ Brodie also tallied as the Flames moved one point ahead of idle Los Angeles for third place in the Pacific Division. Jiri Hudler and defenseman Kris Russell each collected a pair of assists while Karri Ramo turned aside 26 shots as Calgary beat the Flyers at home for the first time since March 22, 2001.

Captain Claude Giroux netted the lone goal for skidding Philadelphia, which lost for the seventh time in eight games overall (1-4-3) while dropping its eighth straight on the road. Steve Mason made 14 saves but was pulled after giving up two goals and Ray Emery (eight saves) finished up, allowing a pair of third-period tallies.

A turnover by Flyers defenseman Luke Schenn led to the opening goal as Wideman finished off a give-and-go with Hudler, beating Mason between the pads at 16:15 of the second period. Brodie doubled the lead 1:42 later with a shot from the point through a screen, ending Mason's night in favor of Emery, who quickly was tested and made three big saves.

Giroux halved the deficit with 8.8 seconds left in the period, burying a shot into an open net after a sensational move and pass by Jakub Voracek. Gaudreau reclaimed the momentum for the Flames just over three minutes into the third, skating down the left wing before setting up Monahan in the slot for a one-timer, and capped the scoring by tapping in Hudler's cross-crease feed at 7:02.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Gaudreau increased his season total to 56 points to move past Nashville's Filip Forsberg for the rookie scoring lead. ... Giroux snapped a 10-game goalless drought and is one shy of his fourth 20-goal campaign. ... Wideman scored for the first time in 25 games to match his career high with his 13th tally. ... Flyers D Michael Del Zotto returned to the lineup after missing six games.
