Kings 5, Oilers 2: Anze Kopitar and Trevor Lewis each recorded a goal and two assists as visiting Los Angeles snapped its three-game losing streak.

Jeff Carter, Kyle Clifford and defenseman Matt Greene also tallied while blue-liner Drew Doughty chipped in with a pair of assists for the Kings. Jonathan Quick turned aside 21 shots en route to his ninth win in his last 11 games for Los Angeles, which has captured eight if its last nine meetings with Edmonton.

Luke Gazdic scored his second goal of the campaign and Teddy Purcell added a power-play tally as the Oilers lost for the fourth time in five games. Ben Scrivens made 24 saves for Edmonton, which has netted only six goals in its last five contests.

Greene opened the scoring nine minutes into the contest, hammering a slap shot from the point that beat Scrivens through traffic in front for his third goal of the season. Lewis finished a 2-on-1 rush with Kopitar at 19:01 of the first period and Carter went to the net to deflect Tyler Toffoli’s pass while short-handed 2:18 into the second to make it 3-0.

Gazdic’s redirection 11 minutes later got the Oilers on the board, but Clifford knocked home a rebound with 3:01 left in the middle session to restore the three-goal advantage. Kopitar extended the lead to 5-1 just 26 seconds into the third, whipping a shot off Scrivens’ glove from the slot.

GAME NOTEBOOK: The multi-point performance was the second of the season for Lewis, who also accomplished the feat on Nov. 4 at Dallas. ... Edmonton D Jordan Oesterle notched an assist on Gazdic’s goal for his first career point in his third NHL game. … Kopitar, who scored his second goal in 18 contests, went 12-7 in the faceoff circles as the Kings dominated 30-19 overall while Doughty recorded a game-high five blocked shots.
