Canucks 6, Blues 5 (SO): Nick Bonino, Radim Vrbata and Chris Higgins scored in the shootout as host Vancouver won a see-saw battle with St. Louis.

Defenseman Yannick Weber recorded a goal and an assist while Bonino, Shawn Matthias, captain Henrik Sedin and Jannik Hansen also tallied for the Canucks, who overcame an early two-goal deficit before squandering a three-goal lead in the third period. Vrbata and Ronalds Kenins each notched two assists while Eddie Lack made 34 saves.

Captain David Backes netted a goal and set up another while Ryan Reaves, Dmitrij Jaskin and defensemen Alex Pietrangelo and Petteri Lindbohm also scored for the Blues, who fell to 2-0-1 on their five-game road trip. T.J. Oshie collected three assists and Jake Allen allowed four goals on 25 shots over two periods before being replaced by Brian Elliott, who turned things back over to Allen after stopping 5-of-6 shots in the third.

St. Louis appeared headed for its fifth straight road win as Reaves converted a cross-slot pass from Steve Ott 3:02 into the contest and Pietrangelo buried a wrist shot from the right faceoff circle less than three minutes later for a 2-0 lead. Vancouver recovered from its rough start and scored the next five goals, a run that began when Matthias beat Allen from the slot during a 2-on-1 rush at 7:24 of the first period.

Weber forged a tie 2:16 later with a blast from the right point and Hansen put the Canucks ahead midway through the second session before Sedin and Bonino completed the outburst, with the latter tallying just over six minutes into the third. Jaskin began St. Louis' comeback during a power play at 8:18 and Lindbohm beat Lack from high in the left circle with 5:41 left before Backes knotted the contest 72 seconds later by converting a feed from behind the net by Oshie while skating into the crease.
