Ducks 5, Devils 1: Jakob Silfverberg scored twice while defenseman Hampus Lindholm and Patrick Maroon each recorded a goal and an assist as host Anaheim stifled New Jersey.

Corey Perry also tallied for the Ducks, who completed their season-high eight-game homestand with a 6-2-0 record. Ilya Bryzgalov turned aside 14 shots as Anaheim outshot the Devils 40-15 - including a 12-1 advantage in the second period.

Martin Havlat scored a power-play goal for New Jersey, which fell to 1-1-0 on its California road trip. Cory Schneider allowed one goal on 15 shots in the first period before being replaced due to injury by Keith Kinkaid, who finished with 21 saves.

Anaheim used a fortunate carom to get on the board as Perry's attempted cross-crease pass from below the right faceoff circle deflected in off the heel of Schneider's stick 4:09 into the contest. The Devils drew even on a similar play with 4:48 left in the opening period, when Havlat's sharp-angle shot from along the end line on the right side went off Bryzgalov and in.

Lindholm restored the lead for the Ducks at 3:16 of the second session with a wrist shot from the top of the slot that beat Kinkaid to the stick side. Silfverberg made it 3-1 less than two minutes later as he tapped in a backhanded feed from Andrew Cogliano while at the top of the crease before Maroon and Silfverberg scored 2:04 apart late in the third to seal the win.
