Jets 2, Bruins 1: Mathieu Perreault scored the go-ahead goal late in the second period and Michael Hutchinson made 30 saves as host Winnipeg edged Boston.

Evander Kane also tallied for the Jets, who improved to 7-1-3 in their last 11 games overall and have won seven of their last eight home meetings with Boston. Defenseman Jay Harrison registered an assist on his first shift after being acquired from Carolina on Thursday.

Blue-liner Torey Krug scored and Chris Kelly registered an assist for the third straight contest for Boston, which has dropped nine of its last 12 (3-6-3). Tuukka Rask turned aside 25 shots in suffering his fourth consecutive loss (0-2-2).

Winnipeg took advantage after Rask lost his stick as defenseman Dustin Byfuglien's shot from the point deflected off Perreault in front and past the screened netminder with 23 seconds remaining in the middle period to stake the Jets to a 2-1 lead. Hutchinson made the slim advantage stand by stopping all 16 shots he faced in the third.

Defenseman Grant Clitsome's shot from the point handcuffed Rask, and Kane alertly spotted the loose puck trickling behind the netminder and tapped it home 3:12 into the contest to open the scoring. Boston answered 4:49 into the second as Krug cleaned up a rebound on the left doorstep after Kelly's backhand shot was denied by Hutchinson.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Making his 13th career start and 15th appearance, Hutchinson owns a 2-0-1 mark versus Boston. ... The Bruins failed on all three power-play opportunities to drop to 1-for-29 in their last 15 contests. ... Boston C Patrice Bergeron won 18-of-26 draws to help his team hold a commanding edge in faceoffs (39-22).
