Wild 4, Red Wings 3 (OT): Matt Moulson scored 2:15 into overtime as visiting Minnesota salvaged a split of its home-and-home series with Detroit.

In overtime, defenseman Jonas Brodin wristed a shot from above the faceoff circle along the right-wing boards that Moulson was able to deflect past Jimmy Howard (21 saves).

Moulson and Charlie Coyle each finished with a goal and an assist, Jason Pominville netted his team-leading 27th tally and Zach Parise also scored for the Wild, who posted just their third win in 10 games (3-3-4). Wild captain Mikko Koivu notched two assists to extend his point streak versus Detroit to seven games and Ilya Bryzgalov finished with 13 saves.

Gustav Nyquist tallied twice to give him seven during his five-game goal-scoring streak for the Red Wings, who pulled even in points with Toronto - with two games in hand - for the top wild-card spot in the Eastern Conference. Tomas Tatar collected a goal and an assist in the loss.

Nyquist staked Detroit to a 2-0 lead after cleaning up a rebound during a power play at 13:45 of the first period and beating Bryzgalov on a breakaway nearly five minutes later. Pominville netted a man-advantage goal midway through the second before Coyle and Parise poked home rebounds 1:45 apart early in the third to give Minnesota a 3-2 advantage. Tatar knotted it up at 11:43 of the session with a wrist shot from the upper edge of the right circle.
