Defenseman Jordie Benn picked up two assists and Kari Lehtonen made 26 saves for Dallas, which allowed 19 goals during the four-game skid.

Defenseman Erik Karlsson scored the lone goal for Ottawa, which absorbed its season-high sixth consecutive defeat (0-4-2). Robin Lehner endured his seventh straight loss despite turning aside 41 shots.

Daley snapped a 1-1 deadlock at 4:52 of the third, burying Ray Whitney's pass from behind the net after a wild scramble in front. Jamie Benn continued his scoring spree 2:06 later, taking a crossing feed from Tyler Seguin and snapping a shot from the top of the left faceoff circle that beat Lehner high to the blocker side to give him 30 goals for the first time in his career.

Karlsson matched his career high with his 19th tally just before the 3 1/2-minute mark of the opening period, taking a crossing pass from Colin Greening and unleashing a blistering slap shot from the slot that beat Lehtonen. The Stars tied it with 4:53 left in the middle session, when Eakin jammed a puck past Lehner, who appeared to have control after denying rookie Valeri Nichushkin from the doorstep.
