Ducks 3, Oilers 2: Dustin Penner snapped a tie with 3:17 remaining in the third period as Anaheim remained unbeaten in regulation at home (13-0-2).
Teemu Selanne ended a 19-game drought and Nick Bonino also scored for the Ducks, who extended their overall winning streak to five games and posted their 15th win in 17 meetings with the Oilers. Jonas Hiller made 23 saves and captain Ryan Getzlaf notched an assist to extend his official point streak to 14 games and give him at least one point in 16 straight contests.
Ryan Nugent-Hopkins and Sam Gagner tallied for Edmonton, which fell to 0-2-0 on its four-game road trip. Ilya Bryzgalov returned from a head injury to stop 31 shots.
Edmonton got on the board at 6:18 of the first period as Nugent-Hopkins deflected Taylor Hall's shot past Hiller. Anaheim pulled even just over five minutes later as Bonino tapped the puck between Bryzgalov's pads from the doorstep.
The Ducks took a 2-1 lead with 4:36 remaining in the second, when Selanne converted a pass from behind the net by Mathieu Perreault for his first goal since Oct. 20 against Dallas. Gagner forged a tie midway through the third with a backhander between Hiller's pads, but Penner accepted a feed from Getzlaf and unleashed a shot from the top of the left faceoff circle that deflected off Oilers defenseman Jeff Petry's stick and into the top right corner of the net.
