Maple Leafs 4, Lightning 2: Joffrey Lupul scored and set up a goal and Nazem Kadri added three assists as Toronto seized a four-goal lead and held off a rally by visiting Tampa Bay to end a five-game winless streak.

Tyler Bozak, captain Dion Phaneuf and Nikolai Kulemin also scored for the Maple Leafs, who entered the game on an 0-3-2 skid. James Reimer turned aside 26 shots and defenseman Carl Gunnarsson contributed two assists for Toronto.

Defenseman Radko Gudas scored his first career goal and Cory Conacher also tallied in the third period for the Lightning. Starter Mathieu Garon allowed three goals on 13 shots before being replaced by Anders Lindback (seven saves). Garon returned to stop all five shots he faced in 12-plus minutes.

Toronto seized a 1-0 lead at 6:56 of the first period when Kadri found Lupul alone for his third goal in two games since returning from a fractured forearm. Phaneuf extended the advantage 52 seconds into the second period with a screen shot from the point after a Lightning giveaway.

Tampa Bay, which defeated Toronto 4-2 at home on Feb. 19, lost coverage again and Bozak was wide open in front to knock in a loose puck at 6:53 of the second session. Kulemin sidestepped Gudas and made it 4-0 only 29 seconds later, whipping a shot past Lindback on the rush.
