Blue 4, Oilers 2:
Vladimir Sobotka broke a tie 4:28 into the third period and captain David Backes added an insurance goal as host St. Louis erased a two-goal deficit and snapped out of its offensive slump.

Jaden Schwartz and defenseman Kevin Shattenkirk also scored for the Blues, who had lost three of their previous four games while scoring three goals during that span. T.J. Oshie had two assists and Jaroslav Halak allowed two goals on Edmonton's first five shots before settling down and finishing with 15 saves.

Taylor Hall and blue-liner Ryan Whitney scored 23 seconds apart late in the first period for the Oilers, who fell to 1-1-1 on their season-high nine-game road trip. Devan Dubnyk stopped 26 shots for Edmonton, which has lost four straight to St. Louis.

After Hall pounced on a loose puck near the crease and scored through a pile of bodies, Whitney jumped into the play and beat Halak with a one-timer at 17:53. The Blues responded when Schwartz knocked home a rebound at 3:38 of the second period, and Shattenkirk's blast from the point during a power play found its way through traffic at 10:30.

Sobotka's second goal of the season came after he swung out from behind the net and surprised Dubnyk with a low wrist shot. Oshie one-handed a soft pass to Backes, who knocked a wrist shot off the right post and in for his first goal in nine games.
