Devils 3, Penguins 1: Adam Henrique scored for the third straight contest as New Jersey ended visiting Pittsburgh’s five-game winning streak and secured a one-point lead in the Atlantic Division.

Henrique and Bobby Butler scored power-play goals in the third period and rookie Stefan Matteau recorded his first career goal for the Devils, who have outscored their opponents 13-4 on their four-game winning streak. Martin Brodeur, who was making his 1,200th appearance, turned aside 24 shots for his 662nd career victory.

Brandon Sutter opened the scoring on a power play early in the first period for the Penguins, who saw captain Sidney Crosby’s six-game point streak come to an end. Marc-Andre Fleury stopped 25 shots and suffered his sixth loss in his last seven starts in the Garden State.

Henrique, who has five points in six games, put home a rebound with the man advantage after Butler’s shot rang off the post midway through the third period. Evgeni Malkin was called for tripping shortly after and Butler scored his first of the season to give New Jersey some breathing room.

Brodeur robbed Malkin from in close with his glove on a power play in the final minutes of the third period to preserve the two-goal cushion.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Pittsburgh D Kris Letang, who has nine points this season, was scratched with a lower-body injury for the second game in a row. … Butler’s points were his first in four games this season. … New Jersey RW Ilya Kovalchuk and D Andy Greene added two assists apiece.
