FLYERS 3, PENGUINS 2 (OT): All-Star Scott Hartnell tallied twice - with the latter coming 4:59 into overtime - as Philadelphia overcame a two-goal deficit to snap visiting Pittsburgh's season-high 11-game winning streak.

Defenseman Kimmo Timonen netted a power-play goal and fellow All-Star Claude Giroux notched a pair of assists for the Flyers, who improved to 8-1-1 in their last 10 games and moved to within two points of the Penguins and three of the first-place New York Rangers.

Ilya Bryzgalov turned aside 38 shots to give Philadelphia its third win in four meetings against Pittsburgh.

All-Star Evgeni Malkin netted his 41st goal, Craig Adams also tallied and defenseman Kris Letang notched a pair of assists for the Penguins, who failed to protect a third-period lead for the first time in 28 opportunities (25-1-2).

After joining the play on a late line change, Hartnell accepted a feed from Danny Briere and wired a shot from the slot which beat Marc-Andre Fleury for his career-best 35th goal.

After Malkin gave Pittsburgh a 2-0 edge with 53 seconds left in the second period following a brilliant individual effort, Philadelphia began its comeback shortly after the third began.

Timonen trimmed the deficit just 31 seconds into the session after his blast from the point beat a screened Fleury.

Hartnell leveled the contest after the Flyers took advantage of Malkin's giveaway. Giroux secured his NHL-leading 58th assist after finding Hartnell, who wired a sharp-angle shot just under the crossbar.

GAME NOTEBOOK: The Penguins lost for the first time since dropping a 6-2 decision to Buffalo on Feb. 19. ... Flyers agitator Zac Rinaldo exited the contest midway through the second period after he was accidentally hit in the mouth by the stick of Hartnell. He returned to start the third.
