Johan Franzen snapped a tie 52 seconds into the third period as the Detroit Red Wings extended their home winning streak to an NHL record-tying 20 games with a 4-3 triumph over the Philadelphia Flyers on Sunday.

Henrik Zetterberg recorded a goal and two assists while defenseman Niklas Kronwall and All-Star Pavel Datsyuk also scored for Detroit, which equaled the league mark for consecutive home wins set by the 1929-30 Boston Bruins and matched by the 1975-76 Flyers.

Red Wings captain Nicklas Lidstrom notched an assist while gaining sole possession of second place on the franchise list with his 1,550th game played.

Shortly after the Flyers successfully killed a penalty carried over from the second period, the Red Wings completed a superb tic-tac-toe passing play to take a 4-3 lead.

After receiving a pass by Zetterberg from the right point, Lidstrom dished the puck from the left faceoff circle to Franzen, who beat Sergei Bobrovsky from the doorstep for his league-leading 10th game-winning goal.

Detroit took advantage of a tripping penalty on Philadelphia's Brayden Schenn as Kronwall beat a screened Bobrovsky with a blast from the blue line 7:08 into the game for a 1-0 lead.

Schenn completed his first career two-goal performance less than 5 1/2 minutes into the second when he beat Joey MacDonald from the bottom of the left faceoff circle for a 2-1 advantage.

The Red Wings evened things just over three minutes later as Datsyuk swept the puck past Bobrovsky from the inner edge of the left circle during a power play.

Max Talbot scored on a redirection with 3:41 remaining to put Philadelphia ahead, but Zetterberg answered two minutes afterward with a one-timer from the top of the slot.
