Neal's goals leveled the contest at 2-2 and 3-3, respectively - the latter tally resulting after he cleaned up a rebound off Sullivan's blast midway into the second period. Neal now has three goals in his last two games to increase his team lead to 17.

Dupuis gave the Penguins their first lead of the game with 4:02 remaining in the second period after his blast beat Al Montoya just inside the post. The tally was Dupuis' fifth goal in eight games overall and fifth point versus the Islanders this season.

Cooke and Martin provided insurance in the third period and Marc-Andre Fleury stopped 24 shots to improve to 17-4-3 in his career versus the Islanders.

Kyle Okposo collected a goal and an assist and rookie David Ullstrom and defenseman Milan Jurcina netted their respective second goals of the season for New York, which fell to 4-1-2 in its last seven games.
