Jordan Staal's goal early in the third period stood as the game winner in the Pittsburgh Penguins' 3-2 triumph over the Boston Bruins on Saturday afternoon.

Staal beat Bruins netminder Tuukka Rask 3:25 into the third to lift the Pens to their second victory in a row. The veteran center has five points in his last two contests after being held without in five games since returning from offseason foot surgery.

Chris Kunitz and Pascal Dupuis also scored for Pittsburgh, which played without captain Sidney Crosby for the fifth game in a row. Crosby, the NHL scoring leader, is still recovering from a concussion and has yet to return to practice.

Dennis Seidenberg and Michael Ryder countered for the Bruins, who saw their three-game winning streak come to an end.

Marc-Andre Fleury stopped 44 shots, including 20 in the third period, to earn the victory. Rask made 33 saves in defeat.
