Steven Kampfer scored an unassisted goal with 1:14 left to play to lift the Bruins to a 7-5 win over the Philadelphia Flyers at Boston Thursday night.

Boston (24-12-7) scored four times in the third period to finally ice the see-saw affair. The Bruins trailed several times in the game but got a goal by Brad Marchand at the 11:26 mark to tie the game at 5-5.

Philadelphia (27-11-5) took a 1-0 lead early in the first period on Scott Hartnell’s 15th goal of the season. The Bruins tied the game on a power play goal by Zdeno Chara at the 18:16 mark of the first period. Boston then took a 2-1 lead on a goal by Patrice Bergeron just 45 seconds into the second period, but the Flyers regained the lead with goals by Nikolay Zherdev and Jeff Carter late in the frame.

Boston also got third-period goals from Mark Recchi and Michael Ryder, while Gregory Campbell added an empty net goal with six seconds left. Danny Briere and Sean O’Donnell also scored for the Flyers.

Tim Thomas made 30 saves for the Bruins. Brian Boucher also stopped 30 shots for Philadelphia.
