Mike Ribeiro scored the tying goal late in the third period and netted the game-winner at 2:52 of overtime, leading the Dallas Stars to a 5-4 home triumph over the San Jose Sharks on Thursday.

James Neal had two goals and an assist while Brad Richards added a tally and two assists for the Stars, who extended their home winning streak to five games.

Neal scored his second of the night with 2:35 remaining to draw the Stars within 4-3 and Ribeiro netted his first goal of the season just 29 seconds later to knot the game. In overtime, Ribeiro grabbed a loose puck on the doorstep and lifted a backhander past Antti Niemi to complete the comeback victory.

Dallas jumped out to a 2-0 lead just 7 1/2 minutes into the game on goals 2:15 apart by Richards and Neal. Scott Nichol began a run of four consecutive tallies by San Jose with 79 seconds to go in the first and Joe Pavelski forged a 2-2 tie midway through the second on a wraparound.

Rookie Logan Couture put the Sharks in front just over two minutes later with his eighth goal and Patrick Marleau made it 4-2 at 6:27 of the third with his eighth tally.

Loui Eriksson and captain Brenden Morrow each had two assists for the Stars while Ryane Clowe set up a pair of goals for the Sharks, who fell to 0-3-2 in their last five road games.
