Undrafted rookie quarterback Phillip Walker's 29-yard touchdown pass to Justice Liggins with 12:33 remaining in the fourth quarter led the Indianapolis Colts to a 7-6 preseason win over the Cincinnati Bengals at Lucas Oil Stadium Thursday night.

Indianapolis finished the pre-season with a 2-2 record. Cincinnati wrapped up the preseason with a 1-3 mark.

Walker was the third Colts quarterback to see action and he completed 2 of 9 passes for 29 yards as he followed starter Scott Tolzien and Stephen Morris in the game.

Cincinnati took a 6-0 lead at the half thanks to a pair of field goals, by Randy Bullock from 31-yards out and a 50-yard kick by Jake Elliott. Both field goals came in the second quarter.

Tolzien got the start at quarterback for Indianapolis and was efficient in his short stint in the game, completing 4 of 5 passes before heading to the sidelines. Morris, meanwhile, hit on 2 of 5 passes for 50 yards.

A.J. McCarron got the majority of the work at quarterback for Cincinnati, connecting on 20 of 30 passes for 216 yards. Jeff Driskel completed 2 of 3 passes for 21 yards before leaving with a thumb injury.

Rookie Jarveon Williams rushed for 111 yards on 27 carries for the Bengals. Daryl Richardson led the way for Indianapolis with 36 yards in nine carries.

The bad news for Cincinnati head coach Marvin Lewis was learning that rookie wide receiver John Ross was sidelined with a left knee injury. Ross was injured in the first half of the game and did not return. He made a short trip to the locker room before watching the rest of the game from the sidelines.

Colts owner Jim Irsay, meanwhile, addressed quarterback Andrew Luck's ongoing rehab situation. Luck has not been cleared to practice since undergoing right shoulder surgery in January.

"Will he play against the Rams (in Indianapolis' Sept. 10 season opener)? I hope so," Irsay said during an interview with team play-by-play broadcaster Bob Lamey. He later backed off that statement, saying it was "most likely" Luck would not be ready to play that quickly.
