49ers 16, Giants 10:
Colin Kaepernick tossed a 48-yard touchdown pass and rookie linebacker Chris Borland had two of the 49ers' five interceptions of Eli Manning as visiting San Francisco posted its fifth win in seven games.

Kaepernick finished 15-of-29 for 193 yards and Michael Crabtree reeled in the scoring strike for the 49ers (6-4), who improved to 4-2 on the road. Frank Gore rushed for 95 yards and Crabtree added 85 on three receptions in the victory.

Entering the contest with six interceptions on the season, Manning matched a career worst on Sunday as New York (3-7) suffered its fifth straight loss. Rueben Randle had seven receptions for a career-high 112 yards and Rashad Jennings rushed for 59 in his return from a four-game absence due to a knee injury.

With San Francisco nursing a 16-10 lead late in the fourth quarter, rookie Odell Beckham Jr. made a leaping 37-yard reception along the sideline to give the Giants the ball at the 4-yard line. Three fade routes resulted in as many incompletions and Manning's fourth-down toss over the middle was deflected by Dontae Johnson before landing in the hands of Borland to end the threat.

After bristling about being used as a "third-down receiver" earlier in the week, Crabtree turned a short inside slant and shook off an attempted tackle by Quintin Demps before racing for his fourth touchdown of the season to give the 49ers a 16-7 lead early in the third quarter. Josh Brown made a 43-yard field goal on the next drive to trim the deficit and his ensuing onside kick was recovered by New York, but Manning's overthrow was caught by Eric Reid for his third interception.

GAME NOTEBOOK: San Francisco LB Aldon Smith did not make a tackle in his season debut after serving a nine-game suspension for violating the league's personal conduct and substance abuse policies. ... New York capitalized on Gore's first fumble of the campaign as TE Larry Donnell reeled in a 19-yard pass over the middle to open the scoring at 6:54 of the first quarter. 49ers K Phil Dawson capped a pair of lengthy drives with field goals before connecting from 44 yards out after Borland stepped in front of Beckham for his first career interception. ... Manning's miscues extended New York's streak to 26 consecutive games with a turnover, the longest active stretch in the league.
