Redskins 27, Eagles 20: Robert Griffin III threw two touchdown passes in his return from a sprained knee as visiting Washington inched closer to securing its first NFC East title since 1999.

Fellow rookie Alfred Morris added his 10th rushing score with a 10-yard touchdown for the Redskins (9-6), who have won six in a row for the first time since 1996. Washington, which moved a game ahead of Dallas (8-6) and New York (8-6), will host the Cowboys next week with the division title at stake.

Dion Lewis had a 17-yard touchdown run to bring Philadelphia (4-11) to within a touchdown at 27-20. After forcing Washington to punt, the Eagles drove to the Redskins' 5-yard line before rookie Nick Foles was penalized for intentional grounding with one second remaining. A 10-second runoff was enforced, ending the game.

After throwing for four scores against Philadelphia on Thanksgiving, Griffin picked up where he left off. He tossed a quick strike to Josh Morgan along the sideline to give Washington a 13-7 lead in the second quarter before lofting a 22-yard touchdown pass to Santana Moss in the third as the Redskins extended their advantage to 27-13.

Foles threw for 345 yards - including a 27-yard touchdown to Jeremy Maclin on the opening drive - as the Eagles fell for the 10th time in 11 games.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Washington K Kai Forbath set an NFL record for consecutive field goals to begin a career after connecting from 45 and 42 yards out. Forbath, who has made 17 straight, surpassed New Orleans' Garrett Hartley (16) for the honor. ... Philadelphia RB LeSean McCoy returned following a four-game absence due to a concussion. McCoy rushed 13 times for 45 yards and had nine receptions for 77 yards. ... Colt Anderson picked off Griffin in the fourth quarter, marking the Eagles' first interception in nine games (Oct. 14).
