Russell Wilson threw for 360 yards and two touchdowns and Chris Carson rushed for a pair of 1-yard scores as the Seattle Seahawks improved to 4-0 with a 31-23 victory against the host Miami Dolphins on Sunday afternoon.

Wilson, who completed 24 of 34 passes, found David Moore in the back right corner of the end zone for a 17-yard scoring strike with 5:30 remaining in the fourth quarter.

The score for the Seahawks came after the Dolphins (1-3) had closed to within 17-15 on the fifth of Jason Sanders' field goals.

An interception by Shaquill Griffin led to Carson's second touchdown with 4 minutes left for the Seahawks. Carson rushed 16 times for a season-high 80 yards.

The Seahawks' only other 4-0 start in franchise history was in 2013, when they went on to win their only Super Bowl.

Miami's Ryan Fitzpatrick completed 29 of 45 passes for 315 yards and rushed for a team-high 47 yards, including a 10-yard touchdown scamper with 1:50 remaining. A two-point conversion throw to Preston Williams pulled the Dolphins within eight points, but the Seahawks recovered an onside kick and ran out the clock.

The Seahawks led 17-9 at the intermission, scoring touchdowns on their first and last drives of the half.

Carson opened the scoring with a 1-yard touchdown run after Ryan Neal intercepted a tipped Fitzpatrick pass on Miami's initial drive.

Sanders kicked 41-, 29- and 45-yard field goals to offset a 55-yarder by Seattle's Jason Myers, cutting the Seahawks' lead to 10-9 with 29 seconds left in the half.

Wilson drove the Seahawks 75 yards in four plays, capped by a 3-yard touchdown pass to running back Travis Homer with 6 seconds left. The key play of the drive was a 57-yard pass to a wide-open Moore down the left sideline.

The Seahawks took the second half kickoff and marched to Miami's 6 before Xavien Howard made a diving interception in the back of the end zone on a third-down play. It was only the second pick Wilson has thrown this season.

Sanders kicked a 43-yarder with 4:12 left in the third to pull the Dolphins within 17-12 entering the final quarter.
