Tyler Bass put a 61-yard field goal right down the middle with five seconds remaining to lift the Buffalo Bills to a 30-27 win over the Miami Dolphins on Sunday afternoon in Orchard Park, N.Y.

Buffalo (7-2) led by seven after Josh Allen connected with Quintin Morris for a 2-yard touchdown and a 27-20 lead with 6:18 left in the fourth quarter.

However, Miami (2-6) proceeded to zip down the field, knotting things at 27 on Tua Tagovailoa's 7-yard scoring strike to Jaylen Waddle.

But Bass came to the Bills' rescue, and following his kick, a lateral play by the Dolphins went nowhere.

Allen finished with 235 yards, three touchdowns and an interception on 25-of-39 passing as Buffalo won its fourth straight game. Khalil Shakir hauled in six catches for 50 yards.

Tagovailoa completed 25 of 28 passes for 231 yards and two TDs but the Dolphins dropped their third straight game. Tyreek Hill finished with four receptions for 80 yards, while De'Von Achane rushed for a score and was on the receiving end of another.

Raheem Mostert fumbled on the first drive of the third quarter, setting Buffalo up at its own 36. Eleven plays later, Allen found Mack Hollins for a 1-yard touchdown on fourth-and-goal. Bass missed the ensuing extra-point attempt, leaving the Bills up 12-10.

Jason Sanders made Bass' miss sting even more when he made good on a 23-yard field goal with 2:59 remaining in the third to move the Dolphins in front.

Buffalo didn't stay down for long, though, as Ray Davis scored on a 63-yard catch-and-run just 52 seconds later. The Bills then cashed in on a two-point conversion attempt to make it 20-13.

Achane tied the game at 20 with an 8-yard TD run early in the fourth.

Miami went up 10-3 thanks to a methodical 14-play, 97-yard march that ended with Achane's 14-yard touchdown reception with 3:20 left in the first half. The drive ate nearly 8 1/2 minutes of clock.

Allen ran to the end zone from 21 yards out on the next drive, but the TD was nullified because of a holding call, and the Bills ended up having to settle for Bass' 49-yard field goal.

The teams traded field goals in the first quarter, with Bass booting a 40-yarder before Sanders drew the Dolphins even with a 39-yarder.
