Phil Jurkovec threw for three touchdowns and Connor Lytton kicked a game-winning 26-yard field goal with 1:56 remaining as Boston College edged Louisville 34-33 on Saturday in Atlantic Coast Conference play at Chestnut Hill, Mass.

Jurkovec completed 18 of 21 passes for 304 yards and hit Zay Flowers (151 receiving yards) for two scores for the Eagles (2-3, 1-2 ACC).

Lytton also nailed a 37-yard field goal with 7:24 left in the final quarter.

BC's 449 yards of total offense and 145 rushing yards were season highs.

Malik Cunningham was 19-of-28 passing for 186 yards and a third-quarter touchdown to Ahmari Higgins-Bruce after rushing for three scores in the first half for Louisville (2-3, 0-3).

The Cardinals gained just two first downs in the fourth quarter.

Brock Domann completed just one pass over Louisville's last two series as Cunningham was out of the game.

Louisville capped an opening 12-play drive with its seventh first-quarter touchdown this season. A 19-yard Tiyon Evans run set up Cunningham's 1-yard run to the right on third down.

The visitors couldn't take advantage of Montey Montgomery intercepting Jurkovec's second pass attempt just one play after a 50-yard connection with Jaelen Gill.

BC forced a three-and-out and proceeded on a 4-play scoring drive that began in opposing territory. After Flowers reversed fields for a 22-yard run to the 1, Joseph Griffin came down with a Jurkovec pass with 4:34 left in the first.

After sacking Jurkovec to force a fumble, James Turner's 24-yard field goal early in the second lifted Louisville until Flowers' 57-yard catch through double coverage put BC up 14-10 three plays later.

A strip sack recovery preceded Cunningham's 6-yard score, but Louisville's lead was just two after a missed extra point.

The teams traded scores late in the opening half. Alex Broome's 40-yard run for BC came with 3:13 before halftime, but Cunningham put Louisville ahead at 23-21 with another 1-yard TD run with a minute to go.

Despite a targeting call on Jaylen Blackwell, BC held Louisville to Turner's 48-yard field goal with 9:03 left in the third. Two plays into the ensuing drive, Flowers scored on a 69-yard catch-and-run TD as the Eagles took a 28-26 lead.

The Cardinals responded with Cunningham hitting Higgins-Bruce on consecutive passes during a seven-play drive, capped off by a 12-yard score.
