Jake Luton threw four first-half touchdown passes, two each to Champ Flemings and Isaiah Hodgins, as Oregon State snapped a six-game skid with a 45-7 win over Cal Poly on Saturday in Corvallis, Ore.

The Beavers (1-2) also ended a five-game losing streak at Reser Stadium in gaining 549 yards of total offense, 356 coming before halftime.

Luton completed 17 of 22 passes for 255 yards and the four scores as OSU scored on all six first-half possessions for a 38-7 lead, with four of five TD drives traveling at least 68 yards. The sixth-year senior became the fifth Beaver quarterback to throw four first-half TD passes.

Hodgins caught TD passes of 8 and 11 yards in the first 10 minutes of the game, while Flemings -- a 5-foot-5 sophomore who came into the game with six career receptions -- hauled in second-quarter scoring strikes of 47 and 75 yards.

Flemings finished with 234 all-purpose yards, hauling in five catches for 142 yards and returning two kicks for 92 yards.

Oregon State ran for 258 yards, despite leading rusher Jermar Jefferson sitting out with an injury. B.J. Baylor had 101 yards and a TD on just seven carries, while Artavis Pierce added 90 yards on 12 carries.

Cal Poly, an FCS school that runs the triple option, scored its lone touchdown on an 8-yard pass from Jalen Hamler to Xavier Moore on the Mustangs' first drive of the game. They ran for 203 yards but needed 58 carries, with Duy Tran-Sampson gaining 137 yards on 29 carries.

The Mustangs (1-2) last beat an FBS school in 2012 when they won at Wyoming.

After a bye, OSU will look to win consecutive games for the first time since the end of the 2016 season when it opens Pac-12 conference play at home against Stanford on Sept. 28. Cal Poly begins Big Sky play on Sept. 28 at Southern Utah.
