Iowa State's quarterback tandem of sophomore Jacob Park and junior Joel Lanning combined for five touchdown passes as the Cyclones routed San Jose State 44-10 on Saturday in Ames, Iowa, for their first victory of the season.

Park, a Georgia transfer, was 15-of-19 passing for 165 yards and three touchdowns while Lanning was 5 of 8 for 136 yards with two touchdowns to help Iowa State (1-3) give coach Matt Campbell his first victory with the Cyclones. Freshman Deshaunte Jones caught two TD passes -- one from each quarterback.

Iowa State was outscored 108-43 in its first three games.

Wide receiver Allen Lazard extended the school record by catching a pass in his 27th straight contest -- every game he has played -- making four receptions for 47 yards and a touchdown for Iowa State. Running back Mike Warren rushed for 103 yards and a score.

Spartans freshman quarterback Josh Love was 13 of 27 for 155 yards with a touchdown and four interceptions as the Cyclones recorded multiple turnovers for the first time in 10 games. Love was also sacked four times, raising San Jose State's total to 20 -- most among the 128 FBS teams in the nation.

Freshman running back Zamore Zigler rushed for 104 yards for the Spartans (1-3), who fell to 1-11 versus the Big 12.

Iowa State led 23-3 at halftime despite being dominated in time of possession 22:09-7:51. Lazard's 17-yard touchdown was a tip-toe catch in the corner of the end zone despite blanket coverage by cornerback Andre Chachere, and gave the Cyclones a 7-0 lead.

Warren bulled his way into the end zone for a 2-yard touchdown run in the second quarter to make it 17-3. San Jose State was driving later in the period until defensive back Jarnor Jones intercepted Love's pass at the Iowa State 15-yard line. Six plays later, Park hooked up with wide receiver Dondre Daley for a 23-yard score with 1:47 left in the first half.

Lanning connected with Jones, who got behind the defense for a 49-yard touchdown early in the third quarter. Jones' second score -- a 1-yard pass from Park -- made it 37-10. Wide receiver Trever Ryen, who recorded 116 yards on three punt returns, hauled in a 16-yard TD pass from Park with 7:45 left.
