Sophomore running back Sony Michel rushed for a career-best 165 yards and scored one touchdown while playing with a broken right hand to lead Georgia to a 27-3 victory over Kentucky in SEC play at Athens, Ga.

Junior quarterback Greyson Lambert threw a touchdown pass to senior running back Keith Marshall and true freshman receiver Terry Godwin added a 28-yard scoring run for the Bulldogs (6-3, 4-3 SEC). Sophomore safety Dominick Sanders had two interceptions as Georgia defeated the Wildcats for the sixth consecutive time.

Junior quarterback Patrick Towles was 8 of 21 for 96 yards and two interceptions for Kentucky (4-5, 2-5). The Wildcats totaled just 180 yards while suffering their fourth straight defeat.

Michel fractured a bone in his hand in last Saturday's contest against Florida. It did not prevent him from carrying the ball 24 times and surpassing his previous career best total of 155 yards, set last season against Troy.

The Bulldogs led 10-3 at halftime despite a sluggish performance and stretched their lead to 14 on Michel's 1-yard with 6:28 left in the third quarter. Lambert connected with Marshall less than four minutes later to make it 24-3.

Georgia's first score came in atypical fashion as Godwin lined up in the backfield and fumbled a direct snap. He recovered the ball, darted through the line and cruised through the secondary for the 28-yard touchdown run with 8:57 left in the opening quarter.

Senior Marshall Morgan kicked a 22-yard field goal later in the quarter to make it 10-0. Kentucky got on the board with 1:12 left in the half when sophomore Austin MacGinnis kicked a 32-yard field goal.
