No. 15 Georgia Tech 30, No. 9 Georgia 24 (OT): Zach Laskey rushed for three touchdowns – including the game-winning score in overtime – and D.J. White sealed it with an interception as the visiting Yellow Jackets rallied to snap a five-game losing streak to their in-state rival.

Laskey rushed for 140 yards and Synjyn Days added 94 on the ground for Georgia Tech (10-2), which beat Georgia (9-3) for just the second time in the past 14 years. The Yellow Jackets tied the game on Harrison Butker’s 53-yard field goal on the final play of regulation and, after Georgia’s Ray Drew blocked the extra point following Laskey’s overtime touchdown, White intercepted Hutson Mason at the 5.

Georgia's Nick Chubb recorded his seventh consecutive 100-yard rushing game, going for 129, and Mason completed 18-of-28 passes for 194 yards. The Bulldogs' Amarlo Herrera recovered Justin Thomas’ fumble at the Georgia 31 with 2:41 left in regulation and Georgia leaped ahead 24-21 on Malcolm Mitchell’s 3-yard touchdown reception on fourth-and-goal with 18 seconds to play.

Laskey tied the game on a 4-yard touchdown run with 2:13 left in the third quarter but the Bulldogs moved ahead 17-14 on Marshall Morgan’s 19-yard field goal – after Morgan sprinted 28 for a first down on a fake field goal – with 11:19 to play. But the Yellow Jackets fashioned a 13-play, 80-yard march, Laskey running the final eight to score with 4:22 to play, and Georgia Tech’s Lawrence Austin recovered the ensuing pooch kickoff but five plays later Thomas fumbled.

Chubb scoring on fourth-and-goal from the 1 to put Georgia up 7-0 a little more than four minutes in, and the Bulldogs were poised for much more but Chubb and Sony Michel each lost a fumble at the 1-yard line. The Yellow Jackets tied the game on Thomas’ 7-yard touchdown pass to Darren Waller with eight seconds left before halftime, but the Bulldogs stacked up Thomas at the goal line midway through the third, and Damien Swann emerged with the ball and raced 99 yards down the left sideline to put Georgia ahead 14-7.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Georgia Tech SS Isaiah Johnson forced Chubb’s fumble at the 1 and recovered Michel’s fumble. … Each team blocked a field goal: Georgia’s Drew blocked a 37-yard attempt in the second quarter, while Georgia Tech’s Adam Gotsis blocked a 49-yarder in the third. … The game marked the first overtime contest in Sanford Stadium history.
