Arizona 31, No. 4 Oregon 24: Terris Jones-Grigsby rushed 27 times for 115 yards and a 1-yard touchdown with 2:54 remaining as the visiting Wildcats upset the Ducks and improved to 5-0 for the first time since 1998.

Anu Solomon was 20-of-31 for 287 yards and a touchdown with one interception while Nick Wilson rushed for 92 yards and accounted for three scores for Arizona (5-0, 2-0 Pac-12), which converted three third-down opportunities and capitalized on two Oregon penalties before Jones-Grigsby capped the 71-yard drive with his go-ahead score. The Wildcats' Scooby Wright III sealed the victory when he sacked Mariota and stripped the ball away with 2:11 remaining.

Mariota completed 20-of-32 passes for 276 yards and two touchdowns and Devon Allen had 78 receiving yards and a score for Oregon (4-1, 1-1), which suffered its second consecutive loss to Arizona and first against the Wildcats in Eugene since 2006. The Ducks, who entered the contest averaging 48.5 points, were outgained 495-446 in total yards and converted just 4-of-14 third-down opportunities.

Oregon was shut out in the first quarter for the second time this season and trailed 3-0 before taking a 7-3 lead into the break after running back Royce Freeman threw a 26-yard TD pass to Mariota early in the second quarter. The teams combined for 21 points in the first 8:33 of the second half, and the Wildcats led 17-14 after Wilson capped a 93-yard drive with a 2-yard score.

Solomon connected on a 34-yard TD pass to Wilson to put Arizona ahead 24-14 late in the third quarter and Oregon had to settle for Matt Wogan’s 21-yard field goal on its ensuing possession. Oregon stopped Jones-Grigsby on fourth-and-2 and pulled even on Mariota’s 9-yard TD pass to Keanon Lowe with 8:21 left.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Oregon has been outscored 24-15 in the first quarter against its first four FBS opponents. … Jones-Grigsby added four catches for 95 yards for Arizona, which has won six straight games dating back to last season. … Dwayne Stanford had four catches for 74 yards for Oregon, which lost for the first time in 11 games at home under coach Mark Helfrich.
