No. 1 Alabama 52, No. 21 Arkansas 0: Eddie Lacy ran for three touchdowns and top-ranked Alabama forced five turnovers in embarrassing No. 21 Arkansas in Fayetteville.
Alabama (3-0, 1-0 SEC) won its fifth straight over Arkansas and 21st straight SEC opener.
The Razorbacks (1-2, 0-1) played without star quarterback Tyler Wilson, who is recovering from a concussion. In his first career start, Brandon Allen hit 10 of 18 throws for 60 yards with two interceptions.
Arkansas botched a punt snap early, setting up Alabama on the Razorbacks’ 6. Lacy ran it in for a 7-0 lead and his second touchdown gave Alabama a 24-0 advantage at halftime.
Alabama quarterback AJ McCarron completed 11 of 16 throws for 189 yards, including a 20-yard touchdown to Amari Cooper. He has thrown 151 consecutive passes dating to last season without an interception.
