The Beavers had lost nine out of their last 11 games going back to last season, but they stormed to a 34-14 lead after three quarters.

Oregon State, which outgained the Cougars 175-83 in rushing yards, controlled the ball for 11:42 of the third quarter.

After the Cougars closed to within 13 points, Oregon State secured the victory with Mannion’s 18-yard touchdown pass to Clayton York midway through the fourth quarter. Mannion was 26-of-34 passing for 376 yards.

Washington State lost its third straight and now faces an uphill battle to remain bowl eligible. The Beavers outgained the high-powered Cougars offense 551-315 in total yards.
