Zach Collaros threw three touchdown passes and rushed for two, including a 2-yard scamper with 12 seconds left, as visiting Cincinnati came from behind to defeat South Florida 37-34.

The Bearcats (6-1, 2-0 Big East), who won their fifth consecutive game and remained alone in first place in the league, drove 70 yards in seven plays over 1:15 for the winning points. USF (4-3, 0-3) lost its third straight.

Collaros, who now has 50 career touchdown passes to move past Tony Pike into second place on the school’s all-time list, passed for 389 yards.

USF quarterback B.J. Daniels threw for a career-high 409 yards and three touchdowns, including a 10-yard strike to Andre Davis with 1:27 left to give the Bulls a 34-30 lead.

Daniels’ 14-yard touchdown pass to Sterling Griffin with 6:22 left in the first quarter snapped the Bearcats’ streak of nine quarters without allowing an offensive touchdown. Griffin left the game later with an apparent ankle injury.

Running back Isaiah Pead caught a 6-yard touchdown pass from Collaros in the first quarter. Pead has scored at least one touchdown in each game and nine overall.

USF’s Deonte Welch had five reception for a career-high 130 yards.
