Terrelle Pryor threw a pair of touchdown passes and Jordan Hall returned a kickoff for a touchdown as host Ohio State demolished arch-rival Michigan 37-7 on Saturday to clinch a share of the Big Ten Conference title.
Dan Herron rushed for 175 yards and a touchdown for the Buckeyes (11-1, 7-1 Big Ten), who won their fifth straight game and beat the Wolverines for the seventh consecutive time.
Ohio State will await the outcome of Saturday's matchup between Wisconsin and Northwestern to determine its postseason future. A loss by the Badgers will leave the Buckeyes and Michigan State tied atop the Big Ten.
If Wisconsin wins, it will forge a three-way tie with Ohio State and Michigan State for the conference crown. The Big Ten champion and BCS bowl bid will then be settled by the BCS standings, which currently has the Badgers ranked No. 7, the Buckeyes at No. 8 and the Spartans No. 10
Regardless, Ohio State garnered a share of its sixth consecutive league championship, matching its own conference record set in the 1970s under legendary coach Woody Hayes.
Pryor finished 18 of 27 for 219 yards and a pair of first-half touchdown passes, including a 33-yard strike to DeVier Posey that sent the Buckeyes into the locker room with a 24-7 lead into the intermission.
Hall's 85-yard kickoff return came immediately after Michigan's only touchdown, a 1-yard run by Michael Shaw, to give Ohio State a 17-7 lead.
Devin Barclay kicked three field goals for the Buckeyes, who held the Wolverines (7-5, 3-5) in check despite Michigan driving into Ohio State territory on five of its sixth first-half possessions.
Denard Robinson rushed for 105 yards and was 8 of 18 passing for 87 yards before leaving in the final minute of the third quarterback with dislocated fingers on his left hand.
