Marc Tyler rushed for 168 yards and a touchdown to lead Southern California to a 24-21 victory over host Arizona in a Pac-10 game Saturday night.
Matt Barkley finished 21-of-35 passing for 169 yards (124 in the first half) with a touchdown and an interception, and also had a TD run for the Trojans (7-3, 4-3).
Nick Foles was 32 of 48 for 353 yards and three touchdowns, including a pair to David Douglas for Arizona (7-3, 4-3), which has lost two straight.
Foles connected with Douglas for an 11-yard score to make it 24-21 with 1:01 remaining before the Trojans recovered the onside kick and ran out the clock.
Southern Cal held Arizona to 79 yards rushing.
Barkley had a 1-yard touchdown run to culminate a 10-play, 80-yard drive, and a 7-yard touchdown pass to Rhett Ellison in the first quarter as Southern California raced to a 14-0 lead. Barkley's 25th touchdown pass of the season, 5 yards to Douglas, put the Trojans ahead 7-0.
Foles threw two touchdown passes in the second quarter, including a 31-yard score to Travis Cobb with 1:24 left to make it 21-14. Foles was 16 of 21 for 197 yards in the first half.
The Trojans took a 21-7 lead when Tyler's 3-yard run capped a 17-play, 66-yard drive in the second quarter.
Joe Houston made a 30-yard field goal in the third quarter to give Southern Cal a 24-14 lead.
