Geno Smith threw four touchdown passes in the first half and West Virginia rolled to a 37-10 win over visiting Cincinnati in a Big East game on Saturday.
Noel Devine added a 13-yard touchdown run in the third quarter to pace the Mountaineers (6-3, 2-2 Big Ten), who snapped a two-game losing streak.
Isaiah Pead ran 53 yards for a touchdown for the Bearcats (3-6, 1-3 Big Ten), who have lost three in a row.
Zach Collaros, who missed the Bearcats' last game against Syracuse, returned for Cincinnati. He completed 24-of-44 passes for 219 yards but threw two interceptions.
Smith completed 15-of-25 passes for 174 yards and one interception. He threw 32- and 10-yard touchdown passes to Tavon Austin in the first quarter. Smith hit Jock Sanders with scoring passes of 48 and 5 yards in the second quarter as the Mountaineers built a 30-3 halftime lead.
West Virginia totaled 419 yards on offense, including 245 on the ground.
