Maryland survived a late comeback by ACC foe Boston College to win 24-21, the Terrapins' first road victory since 2008.

Down 24-7 at the end of the third, Boston College got two Montel Harris rushing touchdowns in the fourth to put a scare in the Terps. The Eagles' final score was set up on a 61-yard pass from Chase Rettig to Bobby Swigert.

However, the Terps' defense was able to stop Boston College on its last series.

Prior to the fourth quarter, Maryland's defense was the story of the game. Senior defensive back Antwine Perez had a monster first half, snagging two interceptions off Rettig and picking up a Harris fumble. For the game, Maryland's defense held Boston College to 289 total yards.

The turnovers set up quality field position for the Terps, allowing Maryland quarterback Danny O'Brien to throw for three first half touchdowns. O'Brien finished 26 of 39 for 178 yards.

Boston College's lone first-half score came when Rettig hit Swigert from three yards out.

The Eagles dropped their fifth straight after a 2-0 start, while the Terps improved to 5-2, 2-1 in the ACC.
