Kellen Moore passed for 288 yards and three touchdowns as No. 3 Boise State kept its national championship hopes alive with a 37-24 victory over visiting Oregon State on Saturday.

The victory was Boise State’s 17th in a row and it came against a Pac-10 program that rated as the last true non-conference test for the Broncos (3-0).

Boise State receiver Titus Young caught five passes for 136 yards, including a 49-yard touchdown reception late in the first half that gave the Broncos a 24-10 halftime lead over the Beavers (1-2).

Moore, who completed 19 of 27 passes, also threw touchdown passes to Austin Pettis (17 yards) and Tyler Shoemaker (21 yards). Pettis threw a six-yard scoring pass on a trick play for Boise State’s first touchdown of the contest.

Oregon State all-purpose star James Rodgers scored on a dazzling 54-yard punt return in the first quarter but left the game in the third quarter with an apparent head injury.

Broncos running back Doug Martin rushed for 138 yards while Oregon State standout Jacquizz Rodgers was held to 46 yards on 18 carries.

Oregon State quarterback Ryan Katz was 12-of-26 passing for 159 yards in his third career start.
