Eskimos 21, Redblacks 16: Logan Kilgore threw for 223 yards and connected with Tevaun Smith for the go-ahead touchdown with 2:52 left in the fourth quarter as visiting Edmonton outlasted Ottawa to end its four-game losing streak.

Kilgore completed 19-of-28 passes and also ran for a score in his second start for the Eskimos (7-7) since replacing the injured Trevor Harris, who has been lost for the season. C.J. Gable rushed for 90 yards while DaVaris Daniels made five catches for 72 yards to lead Edmonton, which is in good shape to get a crossover playoff berth after sweeping the season series from the Redblacks.

Dominique Davis was 15-of-23 for 215 yards and also rushed for a touchdown before leaving with an injury to lead Ottawa (3-11), which lost its seventh straight game and has not won at home since June 20. Dominique Rhymes pulled down five passes for 104 yards while RJ Harris gained 71 yards on six receptions for the Redblacks, who have scored one TD in three games.

Lewis Ward converted a 42-yard kick for the only scoring of the first quarter, but field goals of 50 and 47 yards in the final 1:15 of the half by Sean Whyte allowed the Eskimos to build a 7-3 advantage at intermission. Edmonton put together a nine-play drive on the first possession of the third quarter before Kilgore sneaked into the end zone from 1 yard out to take a 14-3 lead into the final period.

Ward connected from 52 yards away early in the fourth before Rhymes' 45-yard reception helped set up Davis' sneak for a touchdown and his conversion run with 8:40 remaining that tied the game at 14-14. Daniels hauled in a 51-yard pass that led the Kilgore's 17-yard scoring strike to Smith with 2:52 left and the Eskimos stopped Ottawa on downs at their own 19-yard line with about two minutes to go before conceding a safety in the final seconds.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Edmonton WR Greg Ellingson has caught at least one pass in 57 straight games and is 79 yards away from his fifth consecutive 1,000-yard season after recording 50 on Saturday. … Redblacks QB Jonathon Jennings also completed 7-of-8 passes for 58 yards in relief of Davis, who exited in the fourth quarter. … Whyte has connected on 18 straight field-goal attempts. … Ottawa's Jerod Fernandez (undisclosed) returned to the lineup after missing three games and fellow LB Jeff Knox Jr. (undisclosed) was placed on the 1-game injured list. … Edmonton DL Mike Moore registered two of the team's six sacks.
